it's been quite a while since i've been on the ol' blogosphere. the three of you who have actually read my blog are well aware of this. ever since i started this, i fully intended to become a regular blogger. i spend a lot of my time online for both personal and professional reasons, so in a small way i feel like i should be contributing to the never-ending wealth of pointless information available on the web. but for various reasons, this is my first post in over half a year. since i've clearly not been contributing textually, i've decided to start contributing visually. i've always enjoyed photography and consider myself a decent photographer. i'm certainly not the best...but i do take the occasional picture that i'm proud of, whether it be because of subject or composition. so i'm going to try my hand at a photoblog. some of my photography will attempt to be artistic (emphasis on attempt...sadly i do not have the time to truly hone my hobby), some will just be for the hell of it, and the rest will lie somewhere in between. since i already occupy the majority of my time with school, work, and es(s), i predict that the majority of the photography that i post will be raw footage. if i find myself with excess free time, i might start editing and refining my photography for a more professional look. nothing major...maybe just some minor cropping or color enhancement. in the meantime, i'll just be posting the pictures as they are taken. my hope is that i will get into the habit of photoblogging and that habit will transition to other forms of blogging as well. so with all that being said, here is my first attempt. and finally, the title of this blog will make sense.
that white stuff on my car...yeah, that's snow. snow in alabama a week before spring break. it might just be the end of the world as we know it.
i know this isn't much, but it's a start. also, i was late for meeting a friend for coffee, so i didn't take enough time to stop and truly capture all the sights that resulted from the meteorological oddity. but hopefully, more will follow (photography that is...not snow) before too long.
